An MRI taken Monday morning confirmed Cowboys RB Marion Barber suffered a quad strain. When asked later in the afternoon if the injury could force the running back to miss some time, head coach Wade Phillips said, "We'll have to wait and see on that."
How the injury responds in the next few days will determine if he's able to play against Carolina.
Barber fell to the turf after he broke free for a 35-yard gain with just more than four minutes to go in the loss to the Giants. The injury ended what had been one of Barber's more productive performances.
