MNF Injury Report Week 12 - Fred Jackson QUESTIONABLE

Saturday, November 22, 2014, 4:36pm

(New York conducted a walk-through on Saturday)

T Oday Aboushi (shoulder), LB Antwan Barnes (knee), G Willie Colon (knee), WR T.J. Graham (neck), LB David Harris (shoulder), RB Chris Ivory (shoulder), S Jaiquawn Jarrett (calf), RB Chris Johnson (knee), C Nick Mangold (shoulder), LB Trevor Reilly (knee), WR Greg Salas (wrist), QB Geno Smith (right shoulder), CB Darrin Walls (calf)

DE Jarius Wynn (knee)

CB Ron Brooks (groin), RB Fred Jackson (groin)

K Dan Carpenter (right groin), WR Marquise Goodwin (ankle), WR Chris Hogan (hip), DE Manny Lawson (ankle), QB Kyle Orton (toe), RB Frank Summers (neck), G Kraig Urbik (shoulder), WR Sammy Watkins (groin)

Fantasy Impact:

Bills RB Fred Jackson is questionable. He's indicated he's going to play, but with the game now Monday night he becomes a bit more risky. It's not a great matchup against the Jets rush defense, but either way owners will need to be prepared just in case Jackson doesn't go. Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown would at least be serviceable backups if needed. Also for the Bills, Watkins and Orton are probable.

For the Jets, Chris Ivory is probable.

Jets WR T.J. Graham (neck) practiced fully Wednesday.

Injuries to Jets wide receivers Eric Decker and David Nelson have meant an expanded role for newly signed T.J. Graham in practice.

“Luckily for me, the system is pretty much stuff I’ve learned from college to my first year in the NFL,” Graham said after today's practice at the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center. “There’s a lot of carryover so I’m just trying to put routes with verbiage that I know and getting the timing down with Geno.”

Fantasy Impact:

Even with Decker and Nelson questionable for this week, Graham may not be active against the Chargers. But he seems to be picking up the system well and the team likes what they've seen of him, cutting 4th round draft pick Jalen Saunders to sign him. Given the struggles of the Jets WRs, it's at least worth nothing.

The slumping New York Jets have made a surprise move in the aftermath of their third straight loss.

The team announced Monday that it has released wide receiver Jalen Saunders, a fourth-round pick in May's draft. The Jets' filled Saunders' roster spot by signing veteran wideout T.J. Graham.

Saunders was inactive in Sunday's loss to the Detroit Lions, six days after he muffed a punt against the Chicago Bears. He is a candidate to land on the Jets' practice squad.

The Tennessee Titans have claimed wide receivers Kris Durham off waivers.

Durham caught 38 passes for 490 yards and two touchdowns with the Detroit Lions last season.

Fantasy Impact:

The Titans also claimed T.J. Graham earlier today and it's another interesting claim for a team pretty deep at WR. Durham will at best be the team's WR4 behind Kendall Wright, Nate Washington and Justin Hunter.

One of the more notable wide receivers released on Saturday has quickly found a new home.

The Titans have been awarded ex-Bills wideout T.J. Graham on waivers, Adam Caplan of ESPN reported Sunday.

A 2012 third-round pick out of N.C. State, the 25-year-old Graham was a 17-game starter for Buffalo in his two seasons with the club, hauling in 23 passes for 361 yards and two touchdowns in 2013. He will provide depth behind Nate Washington and Kendall Wright and could contribute immediately in three- and four-WR sets.

The move leaves the Titans with six receivers, with Justin Hunter, Derek Hagan and Michael Preston the other options at the position.

After starting 17 games over his first two seasons, Bills WR T.J. Graham is squarely on the bubble this training camp. After missing all of OTAs following offseason surgery, Graham's performance in camp has been shaky. He's had more than a handful of drops. The Bills have used Graham mostly as a speed threat -- both in the screen and deep game -- but he'll need to prove himself as more than that to crack the roster.

The Bills have used a variety of receiver groupings through the first eight practices. Mike Williams, Chris Hogan, and Marquise Goodwin have all seen time alongside Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods. How each of those players are used in the regular season could be determined by the situation. T.J. Graham, who we considered part of this mix in the spring, has barely seen any time with the first-team offense. He's fighting for his job.

Fantasy Impact:

It appears that Woods is safe as the team's WR2, while Williams is battling for snaps. Hogan is the more traditional slot receiver.

Beat: Mike Williams 'didn't stand out' in OTAs

Monday, June 16, 2014, 10:19am

ESPN - [Full Article]

Bills WR Mike Williams didn't stand out in OTAs and seeing him in action, there isn't a particular skill that he brings to the table that is different from the rest of the receiver group. If Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods become fixtures on the outside and Chris Hogan can continue to contribute in the slot, Williams starts to slide down the depth chart. The Bills will keep Marquise Goodwin and Marcus Easley on their final roster, so Williams will have to fight Hogan and T.J. Graham for the final spot.

Fantasy Impact:

It sounds as if Watkins and Woods are penciled in to start for the Bills with Williams at best the WR3/WR4.

Bills WRs Steve Johnson (groin, out) and Robert Woods (ankle, out) missed practice all week and are out for Week 11. Look for Marquise Goodwin and T.J. Graham to start. We prefer Goodwin, who has three 50+ yard games and a pair of touchdowns this season. The Jets are a nice matchup for WRs, though high winds are a concern this week.

Steve Johnson ruled out for Week 11

Mike Rodak, Twitter - [Full Article]

Bills WR Stevie Johnson is officially out Sunday against the Jets.

Fantasy Impact:

Robert Woods is also out, so this is an opportunity for Marquise Goodwin and T.J. Graham to see starter's snaps and targets. They are both Sneaky Starts for Week 11 against a Jets defense that is #26 in WR aFPA. Goodwin has cracked the 50-yard mark three times this season and has scored two TDs. TE Scott Chandler should also see a bump in targets.

Bills WR Steve Johnson (groin) missed practice again Thursday. Robert Woods (ankle) missed practice again Thursday and is out for Week 11. HC Doug Marrone said that he doesn't feel good about Johnson's chances of playing. Johnson looks very iffy and Woods won't play this week. If both are out, look for Marquise Goodwin and T.J. Graham to start. The Jets are a nice matchup for WRs.

Bills WR Steve Johnson (groin) did not practice Wednesday. Robert Woods (ankle) did not practice Wednesday. Johnson looks very iffy for Week 11 and Woods won't play this week. If he and Johnson are both out, look for Marquise Goodwin and T.J. Graham to start. The Jets are a nice matchup for WRs.
