Backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor directed two fourth-quarter touchdown drives for Baltimore, the first ending with Jalen Parmele’s go-ahead 10-yard touchdown run with 7:16 remaining as the Ravens defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 31-13.
Taylor later added a 5-yard TD run of his own, a dive to the right pylon that withstood a video review. He finished 5 for 11 for 88 yards.
Kansas City’s Tyler Palko completed eight of 13 passes for 95 yards, but produced 10 points in his three drive - a tying 4-yard touchdown pass to Terrance Copper late in the second quarter and a 12-play march culminating in a tiebreaking 30-yard field goal by Ryan Succop with 6:58 left in the third quarter.

RB Jamaal Charles was named the winner of the Chiefs MVP Award while K Ryan Succop earned the ROY Award. Each player will be presented their award at the 40th annual 101 Banquet on March 6th at the Westin Crown Center.
Charles led the Chiefs in nearly all major offensive categories, including rushing yards, yards from scrimmage, combined net yards and total TDs. He became the first player in NFL history to rush for over 1,100 yards on fewer than 200 carries. He became the ninth player in franchise history to rush for 1,000 yards and was the first to accomplish the feat since 2006. All incredible marks considering Charles spent just over half a season as the club’s feature back.

Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt praised rookie kicker Ryan Succop, whose strong leg on kickoffs improved the Chiefs’ field position and gave the team a long-range option on field goals, something Kansas City lacked the past two seasons.
Hunt said he’ll remain patient as long as things continue improving. Regardless, Hunt said he’s eager for a new season to begin — and to see how all those changes begin to shape the Chiefs.

Succop has a nearly 60-yard range. Whether it goes straight or not, though, was a question throughout his final two college seasons, and that'll be something he has to address at Chiefs camp.
