“It’s tough when a quarterback is going through a learning process,” Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said. “As the losses mount up, it gets frustrating. It’s frustrating for everybody.”
McGloin threw two interceptions to Chiefs safety Eric Berry, the first of which was returned 47 yards for a touchdown. He threw two more in the fourth quarter, on successive series, the last of which got him benched.
Terrelle Pryor filled in at different times – once near the goal line, again in the third quarter and after McGloin’s fourth pick – as a planned change of pace. Pryor wasn’t much better, and threw an interception in four attempts. He competed one pass for 12 yards and had 19 rushing yards on three carries.
Despite being pulled, Allen said McGloin start again next week against the San Diego Chargers. Odds are great he’ll also start the season finale against Denver, too. He's a QB2 option as long as INTs don't count against you. He should put up some garbage numbers, most likely trying to bring the Raiders from behind.

He also had a package of plays the Raiders could have used, but HC Dennis Allen felt it better to give him another week of rest -- hence the use of Marcel Reece as the wildcat quarterback instead of Pryor.
Something to watch for Thursday against the Cowboys. Pryor won't be a starting fantasy option, but if you're playing McGloin, it could certainly take away from his production.

"(Rashad Jennings has) been a guy we've called on to come in and run the ball and he's done a great job at it,'' Allen said. "As he continues to run the ball like he's doing, he's going to continue to get opportunities to run the ball.''
Jennings signed as an unrestricted free agent after averaging 2.8 yards per carry in Jacksonville last season. Jennings has 340 yards on 57 carries, averaging 6.0 yards per carry in his last three games. He is second to Terrelle Pryor in rushing with 480 yards. He has a couple of very favorable matchups in Weeks 12 and 13 with Tennessee and Dallas on the schedule.

Must’ve been a pretty sight. Until reality set in.
McGloin was so good during a 28-23 win over the Houston Texans that undrafted rookie might’ve taken Pryor’s job.
While head coach Dennis Allen wouldn’t say whether he did or not, there’s no doubt the Raiders have a quarterback controversy on their hands.
“Here’s what I’m going to do; I’m going to enjoy this win,” Allen said. “Then we’ll go back and we’ll evaluate. Matt definitely did a very good job today.”
The undrafted rookie from Penn State was 18-of-32 passing for 197 yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions and a 105.9 quarterback rating in his first NFL start. He likely won't be better than a QB2 option if he indeed gets more playing time going forward. It's a tough matchup Week 12 against the Titans.
Matt McGloin to start for Raiders

Coach Dennis Allen acknowledged that Pryor encountered a setback on Friday after sharing reps with rookie Matt McGloin in Thursday's practice.
Although Allen had been holding out hope, team sources told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport that all signs pointed to McGloin making his first NFL start once Pryor missed Friday's practice.
As Gregg Rosenthal pointed out, a battle between undrafted quarterbacks McGloin and Case Keenum would be a rematch of the Penn State-Houston TicketCity Bowl in January 2012.
Obviously there are a lot of question marks about McGloin, but the undrafted rookie out of Penn State, was 7-for-15 for 87 yards in the fourth quarter against the Eagles on Nov. 3 after Pryor left with the banged-up knee. McGloin was a different QB from his junior to senior year under former OC in New England and now current PSU head coach Bill Bradley. He impressed the Raiders enough that he became the QB2.
