Fantasy Impact:

Kelly said they still have confidence in him and feel he's an accurate kicker. He was drafted by Andy Reid so Kelly has no ties to Henery. Henery has missed a kick three-straight weeks now.

When the season began, Eagles K Alex Henery was the second-most accurate kicker in NFL history at 87.9 percent.

Three games later, we’re wondering about his job security.

Such is life for placekickers.

Henery, the Eagles’ third-year kicker from Nebraska, has missed field goal attempts in consecutive games for the first time in his career.

Fantasy Impact:

As the story points out, they haven’t been easy kicks -- 46 yards against the Chargers, 48 yards against the Chiefs -- but they have raised the issue of whether the Eagles can rely on Henery to make big kicks at big moments moving forward. In theory, Henery should be a solid play every week given the Eagles offense and the ability to move the ball and get in position to score. But if he keeps missing, Chip Kelly is the type of head coach to just go for it on fourth down...

By selecting Nebraska's Alex Henery in the fourth round on Saturday, Andy Reid essentially signaled the end of David Akers' 12-year career here. The Eagles will not keep two kickers on their 2011 roster, and they certainly will not be willing to scratch Henery a check for the $450,000 roster bonus he would be due in the event they cut him.
