A 12-year NFL veteran, Graham has made 85.4 percent of his kicks, fifth in league history. Graham played in 16 games for Houston last season, setting a team record for points with 138. He connected on 31 of 38 field goals and set a career high with 28 touchbacks.

Dawson made his first Pro Bowl last season, converting 29 of 31 attempts. His conversion percentage (93.5) ranked second among NFL kickers in 2012. Defying age, he's made 14 of 15 attempts from at least 50 yards in the past two seasons, including all seven in 2012.
Dawson should be a solid fantasy kicker in 2013 as the 49ers tend to generate plenty of opportunities for their kicker.

As a result, Dawson will play the 2012 season under a one-year franchise tag of $3.81 million. The Browns also franchised Dawson last year.

The Browns lost a 35-27 decision to Detroit on Saturday, but quarterback Jake Delhomme had another good performance. Delhomme was 20 of 25 for 152 yards and a TD for the Browns, whose quick-strike, no-huddle offense found a lot of holes in Detroit’s defense.
One player Delhomme utilized was Josh Cribbs, who had a leaping, 30-yard catch along the sideline that set up a TD toward the end of the first half.
Cleveland led 24-14 at halftime after Phil Dawson made his first of two field goals, Eric Wright returned Kevin Smith’s fumble 44 yards for a score, Delhomme tossed a short pass to Lawrence Vickers and Peyton Hillis had a 1-yard TD with 24 seconds left in the half.

The Browns signed veteran free agent kicker Shaun Suisham on Tuesday, which can only be viewed as insurance against a possible training camp holdout by Phil Dawson according to Tony Grossi of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
The Browns PK position could have some value if the offense improves this season.

Dawson, a 12th-year pro, also sat out some OTAs last season in what was believed to be a contract issue. Dawson, the Browns' second-leading all-time scorer, is in the last year of his contract.
He sat out five games with a calf injury last season, but returned for the final nine games, making six field goals in the last two outings.
Browns sign TE Ben Watson, release Heiden
Saturday, March 13, 2010, 12:08pm
They signed unrestricted free-agent tight end Ben Watson, formerly of the New England Patriots, to a multiyear contract. Terms of the deal were undisclosed, but ESPN's Adam Schefter reported it was a three-year deal worth $12 million, including $6.35 million guaranteed. Hours later, the Browns released Steve Heiden, who had been with the team for eight seasons -- longer than anyone except kicker Phil Dawson.
