Last week Thomas stole a touchdown look from Jimmy Graham, putting up a 4-24-1 stat line. Graham may get a few more looks with Thomas out, but he is the #1 TE option this week regardless.
New Orleans Saints
S Isa Abdul-Quddus (concussion), T Charles Brown (knee), DE Junior Galette (ankle), DT Tom Johnson (back), WR Courtney Roby (shoulder, ankle)
T Zach Strief (groin), TE Dave Thomas (knee), CB Corey White (knee)
CB Elbert Mack (concussion)
DT Peria Jerry (quadricep), CB Asante Samuel (shoulder)
T Sam Baker (groin), WR Kevin Cone (groin), WR Harry Douglas (ankle), S Charles Mitchell (calf), LB Stephen Nicholas (knee), TE Michael Palmer (back), CB Dunta Robinson (illness), DT Vance Walker (ribs), LB Sean Weatherspoon (ankle)
Graham and the Saints play the Broncos on Monday night next week, so you will have to monitor his progress this week. We could know more after Wednesday's practice. Although, backup TE Dave Thomas is a risky play, he did catch a TD last week, despite only two catches for 27 yards. He could be a usable substitute if you had to go that direction.
An intense flare-up of back spasms during pregame warmups nearly kept Saints tight end Jimmy Graham out of the lineup Sunday -- sending Saints fans and fantasy football players alike into a frenzy before kickoff. Ultimately, though, Graham fought through the pain and caught five passes for 55 yards. He almost added a 4-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, but officials ruled that his toe tickled the out-of-bounds grass.
Graham says he expects to be fine and play through the pain, and considering his numbers were better than a lot of other TE options this week, he's worth keeping in your lineup if he in fact does play. However, realize the risks that he could be injured at any point. John Gilmore and rookie Michael Higgins are behind Graham on the depth chart with Dave Thomas on IR.

Saints TE Jimmy Graham is clearly a budding star at the position. With a full offseason of development, he should win the starting job next season. If Dave Thomas is re-signed -- and I think he will be - then Jeremy Shockey is expendable although I do think he could be a candidate to return at a restructured deal.

Saints TE Jimmy Graham (ankle out) has been ruled out for Wildcard weekend. Graham is dealing with an ankle injury that forced him out of week 17. Jeremy Shockey (groin probable) and Dave Thomas (knee probable) are practicing fully this week but don't have near the upside of the rookie Graham.
Graham has an ankle injury and Jenkins has a knee injury and neither has practiced this week. The Saints will hold a walk-though practice at Qwest Field in a couple of hours. I wouldn’t expect the Saints to let Jenkins or Graham do much in that practice and that’s largely due to the weather conditions.
As you might expect, today looks like the typical January day in Seattle. It’s raining, it’s cool and it’s foggy. My guess Jenkins and Graham will continue doing whatever rehab work they’ve been doing and the real test will come before the game tomorrow.
