WR Ramses Barden has officially signed back with the Giants, according to a source.

Fantasy Impact:

It's probably not a coincidence that the team re-signed Barden with both Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz dealing with contract issues. He had a nice game against Carolina (9-138) with Nicks sidelined early in the 2012 season.

Hakeem Nicks missing practice with swollen knee
Wednesday, November 7, 2012, 11:56am

Ralph Vacchiano, Twitter - [Full Article]

Giants WR Hakeem Nicks' knee swelled up and he will not practice today.

Fantasy Impact:

Nicks' knee is swollen. If he can't play, Domenik Hixon will be a sneaky start. Rueben Randle has been playing ahead of Ramses Barden the last three weeks, and would likely be in line for WR3 duties.

Andre Brown works with first team
Thursday, October 18, 2012, 9:53am

The New York Daily News - [Full Article]

Giants RB Andre Brown (concussion), who rushed for 113 yards when Bradshaw missed Week 3 with a neck injury, was cleared to play on Tuesday. He said he worked with the first team on Wednesday.

“I feel good,” he said. “Better, especially to get back in the swing of things. I’m ready to go.”

Fantasy Impact:

As expected, Brown didn't lose his RB2 job to David Wilson due to injury. The Giants stuck with Domenik Hixon earlier in the season despite his concussion and a big game by Ramses Barden. We're expecting Wilson to see a few extra touches if Bradshaw can't go in Week 7, but Brown should get the start.

Ahmad Bradshaw's foot problems resurface
Wednesday, October 17, 2012, 1:28pm

Ralph Vacchiano, Twitter - [Full Article]

Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw missed practice on Wednesday -- and for his foot, not his neck.

Fantasy Impact:

Many will point to David Wilson is the obvious pick up, but Andre Brown (concussion) was cleared to practice today and when he was injured he was still ahead of Wilson on the depth chart. Bradshaw is expected to practice on Thursday. If he can't play in Week 7, we would expect some sort of a timeshare between Brown and Wilson, with Brown in the lead. Wilson only has 16 touches on the season compared to Brown's 44, so it's clear the coaching staff has more trust in Brown at this point. When trying to predict how the Giants will deal with injuries and the depth chart, remember that Domenik Hixon returned to his place in the depth chart ahead of Ramses Barden even though Barden had a terrific game in Week 3 (with Hixon sidelined). Regardless, the Giants have a long history of managing Bradshaw's injuries with limited practice and he has played effectively.

Hakeem Nicks back at Giants practice

Brian Lewis, Twitter - [Full Article]

Giants WR Hakeem Nicks & TE Martellus Bennett are both practicing. They appeared to move around well in the portion open to the media.

Fantasy Impact:

If Nicks can't play, Domenik Hixon would likely get another start. Ramses Barden would fall to #4 on the depth chart if Nicks does return.

Hakeem Nicks ruled out for Week 5
Thursday, October 4, 2012, 3:23pm

NJ.com - [Full Article]

Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks will miss his third straight game this week.

The team ruled Nicks out for the Browns game with foot and knee injuries. Nicks broke a bone in his foot during the offseason and has been managing soreness, but last week his knee also became an issue. Nicks banged his knee on the turf against the Buccaneers in Week 2 -- the last game he played -- and had swelling when he tried to practice last week.

Coach Tom Coughlin said there has been no re-injury to Nicks foot, but the soreness in both areas is keeping him out. Coughlin did add that the swelling in Nicks' knee is down.

Ramses Barden (concussion) also has not practiced this week, adding to the injury concerns at the receiver position.

Fantasy Impact:

Whether or not Barden is out, Domenik Hixon will be a good start against the Browns, who are still missing Joe Haden (suspension). Hixon caught six passes for 115 yards against the Eagles in Week 4.
