As Peyton Manning approached the microphone a mere 100 yards from the Anderson University football field on Sunday afternoon, it was the building behind the Pro Bowl quarterback that will be Manning’s home away from home for at least the start of training camp.
Fresh off surgery on his neck in May, Manning will begin training camp on the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) list while continuing to rehab on site in the team’s training facilities.
Manning enters the 2011 campaign with 208 consecutive starts even though this is not the first time he has missed a time at training camp.
Back in 2008, Manning missed time during camp and had some struggles early on. He still remained a top fantasy quarterback. It wouldn't be surprising to see the same scenario play out in 2011.
