Peyton Hillis took to Twitter on Thursday night to ensure Browns fans he's here to stay.
Cleveland's hard-running back batted away speculation that his inability to play against the Miami Dolphins in Week 3 because of strep throat was actually motivated by concerns over slow contract negotiations with the team.
"I love the fans of Cleveland..the city that gave me a chance," Hillis wrote. "I play hard in every play of every game ... if I could have physically played against the Dolphins I would have. I love this city and hope to retire here."
