Panthers HC Fox danced around questions about Jake Delhomme's availability, but it's hard to imagine why the Panthers would put him in now, even if he was healthy. The season is shot, and there is something wrong with their long-term starter that healing a broken finger won't fix. So the Panthers will endure some more of Matt Moore's growing pains for the moment, and see how he develops — as much as any one part of this passing game can be fairly judged.
The simple problem is that there isn't a simple problem, and no magic bullet that will kill the offensive ineptitude.
