The NFL has made a change to its official stat book following the Saints 52-49 win against the Giants, changing a Willie Snead fumble into a Drew Brees interception.

The play in question, which occurred with 7:23 left in the fourth quarter, was initially ruled as a fumble by Snead that was returned by the Giants for a 63-yard touchdown. It will now be credited as a 63-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Brees is now credited with completing 39-of-50 passes for 505 yards, seven touchdowns, two interceptions and a 131.7 quarterback rating.

Although it doesn't take away from his banner day, the stat correction does present a significant change.

His previous stat line was 40-of-50 passes for 511 yards, seven touchdowns, one interception and a 140.5 quarterback rating.
