When asked whether he would return this year, Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew said this:
“No it’s definitely not going to be the year but with a foot injury you don’t want to mess around with it and come back at 70 or 80 percent. It’s just one of those things that’s going to take a little bit of time but it’s doing much better. Hopefully I will be back in a couple of weeks.”
The Jaguars have no reason to rush Jones-Drew back. He's under contract for another season and is clearly better than Rashad Jennings, who is set to become a free agent in 2013.
