Malcom Floyd has torn labrum, status unknown

Malcom Floyd has sacrificed his body for deep passes since 2004. There is a chance the one Monday was his last.

The Chargers wide receiver suffered a torn left labrum, a source said following an MRI on Tuesday, when he dove for a second-quarter pass against the Bears. It remains to be seen if that play will be the final one of his NFL career. Floyd, 34, long has planned to retire after the 2015 season.

The team is not rushing how it proceeds with Floyd.

Fantasy Impact:

Coach Mike McCoy called Floyd's status "day-to-day" on Tuesday, as the team gathers information and works with Floyd to make the best choice on where the situation evolves from here.
