The Lions played without Johnson for the entire fourth quarter. He aggravated an ankle injury trying to reach back for a pass that was underthrown on the first play of the final quarter.
"It's been real tender," he said. "It got landed on and that kind of put it over right there. It had been bothering me pretty much all game."
It had bothered him all week, and he was limited in practice. Schwartz said the only way Johnson would have gone back in was if the Lions were still trailing and needed to run a fade route.
"Calvin went as long as he could," Schwartz said. "We will see where he is (next week)."
