The Jets have a short week to prepare for Thursday night’s game against the Bills and it looks like they’ll have to spend some of their limited time finding a kicker to fill in for Nick Folk.
Folk was active for Sunday’s victory over the Jaguars, but was limited to holding for punter Ryan Quigley due to a quad injury suffered in pregame warmups. Folk said after the game that he felt a “little pop” while getting ready for the game and Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the diagnosis is a Grade 1 quad strain.
As a result of the injury, Folk isn’t expected to play in this week’s game. That likely means that the Jets will be hosting a meeting of the unemployed kicker caravan that was in high demand earlier this season thanks to a slew of misses around the league, the story said.
