Jets using RB Matt Forte less over last two weeks

When examining the snap counts totals from the Jets' loss Sunday to Seattle, one thing pops out: The Jets are using running back Matt Forte less and less.

In the season's first two games, he played 76 percent and 81 percent of the snaps, while Bilal Powell played 24 percent and 23 percent.

Last week in Kansas City, Forte played 60 percent, and Powell played 41 percent. And against Seattle, Forte played 48 percent, and Powell played 52 percent.

Fantasy Impact:

That's an interesting storyline to monitor going forward, the story said, as the 1-3 Jets try to fix the problems on their offense. They have gained just 305 yards in each of the past two games, both losses. They rank 20th in the NFL in yards gained per play (5.4). Using Forte less after the first two weeks was something the team was aware of, however things could change because of the recent losses.
