The Jets received some good news Monday on the injury front: TE Dustin Keller doesn't have a high-ankle sprain, after all. It's a routine sprain, according to Rex Ryan.
"So that's good," Ryan said. "We'll know about him later. He has some swelling there."
It was first reported Keller had a high ankle spring and Keller was in danger of not playing again this year. But, perhaps that's no longer the case. If Keller would miss time, Jeff Cumberland will likely take over the TE1 role and he'll have some limited value but should fall in the TE2 rankings most week. He had the only TD of the game in the Jets' 7-6 victory over the Cardinals.
