Fantasy Impact:

Gore says he’ll play Monday night as the pain in his ribs has “lessened a lot.” He has a good matchup against an Arizona defense that allowed Adrian Peterson to rush for 153 yards and one touchdown on 23 carries in Week 7. The Cardinals also surrendered scores to running backs C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson in Week 6. Gore practiced all week and is our No. 12th ranked running back for Week 8.

The Eagles have paid another big-time, rising player. This time, WR DeVonta Smith gets a 3-year, $75M contract extension that includes $51M guaranteed.

Great news for Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense as a whole. Smith will continue his 1b role in which he finished the 2023 season as fantasy's WR22.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins anticipates playing for Cincinnati in 2024

Bengals franchise-tagged wide receiver Tee Higgins, who requested to be traded last month, anticipates playing for Cincinnati in 2024, he told reporters Sunday at his youth football camp.

Fantasy Impact:

While Higgins, understandably, wants to find a lucrative contract, he will be set for a big payday in 2025 on the open market if he plays out the franchise tag in '24. The Bengals are expected to add another pass-catcher through the NFL Draft, and that could come in the first round.

Eagles to sign TE C.J. Uzomah

Free agent TE CJ Uzomah, the former Bengals and Jets starter, is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Eagles. Uzomah, who flew to Philly today and passed his physical, should bolster their passing attack and give the offense an added weapon.

Fantasy Impact:

Uzomah dealt with injuries and was boxed out of a TE1 role by Tyler Conklin in New York, so we shouldn't expect him to impact fantasy this season. The veteran had an 80-target season with Cincinnati in 2021, but that has proven to be a blip on the radar.
