Giants WR Odell Beckham to get back on practice field

The Giants will get their first-round pick back on the practice field on Monday.

Wide receiver Odell Beckham has missed just about all of camp after aggravating a hamstring pull early this summer, but he’s recovered enough to take part in practice. Beckham will be limited to individual work as he ramps things back up after so much time off, although coach Tom Coughlin said that could change quickly if Beckham handles the initial workload without incident.

“He is going to practice on an individual basis and then they are going to assess where he is,” Coughlin said, via the New York Daily News. “If he can do a little more, then maybe he will do a little bit more, but if he can’t then we will keep it strictly with individual.”

Fantasy Impact:

Beckham’s likely questionable at best for Saturday’s game against the Colts, but Coughlin and the Giants will likely be satisfied if he gets himself on schedule to play in the third preseason game after a frustrating start to Beckham’s career with the team, the story went on to say.

Former Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins is planning to sign with the #Chargers on a one-year deal. Electric when healthy, Dobbins — who averages 5.8 yards per carry in his career — reunites with OC Greg Roman and can hit the market again in March.

Fantasy Impact:

Dobbins has had poor injury luck in his career, but has only managed 234 total rushes since being drafted in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. This is a low-risk, high-reward move by the Chargers and might give them a runway to wait a little longer in the '24 Draft before they address the position.

Cowboys sign RB Royce Freeman

The Cowboys have signed running back Royce Freeman to a one-year deal. Freeman had 319 yards on 77 carries with 2 touchdowns last year for the Los Angeles Rams. He was 3rd round pick of Denver in '18.

Fantasy Impact:

Freeman hasn't rushed for 500 yards since 2018, his rookie season. This shouldn't have any impact on the team drafting at the position and/or bringing back Ezekiel Elliott.
