Giants WR Hakeem Nicks, who missed all nine of the Giants OTA practices this spring, was in high spirits as he bounced from drill to drill at a recent camp for kids. But he again refused to say exactly why he boycotted the sessions. He said he’s completely healthy after undergoing what he described as a “clean up” procedure on his troublesome left knee this offseason.
Also, Nicks said that he and quarterback Eli Manning have worked out together since the end of minicamp, trying to make up for the time that Nicks missed. Giants coach Tom Coughlin had suggested the pair do so.
“We hooked up twice this week already,” Nicks said. “We’re going to do it again about two or three more times before (training) camp starts.”
