Giants beat writer Dan Graziano: If new WR Kevin Ogletree is not up to speed in time to play Sunday, my expectation is that Preston Parker would handle the slot, as he did Sunday night when Victor Cruz went out. However, Giants coaches have been discussing this for two days and may come up with more creative solutions due to the sudden personnel shortage. Maybe they don't use as many three-wide receiver sets as they have been. Maybe they use multiple tight ends more or lean on that power run game with fullback Henry Hynoski on the field. Maybe rookie Odell Beckham can handle multiple receiver spots and be moved around, though they see him as primarily a speed threat on the outside.
The thing to glean here is that Ogletree isn't likely to make an immediate impact. Graziano also said that he expects Ogletree to begin making an impact after the Giants' Week 8 bye.
