Giants Beat: RB Wayne Gallman may have taken over as RB1

The Wayne Train may have left the station.

Rookie running back Wayne Gallman made an impressive regular season debut in the Giants' devastating 25-23 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. The fourth-round pick ran for 42 yards on 11 carries, and caught a 4-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter to put the Giants ahead at the time.

Did he also steal Paul Perkins' job?

"I thought Gallman gave us some juice there from the backfield," head coach Ben McAdoo said. "He was the second healthy back we had."

Fantasy Impact:

The story said injuries did play a role in Gallman seeing more opportunities. Darkwa didn't play because of a back injury and Perkins got hurt against the Bucs leaving Gallman as the main option. The author also went on to say he doesn't think Gallman's presence was a one-time thing.
