Dolphins RB Arian Foster was still limited by the injury Sunday, which is part of why HC Adam Gase was inclined to use him in a smaller role.
“He’s trying to fight for us,” Gase said. “He’s trying to be out there because he knows his leadership is valuable. Him just being on the sideline is valuable. If he can give us a couple plays, even though he’s not 100 percent, for him to come out there and want to be part of what we were doing, that was outstanding effort on his part. Obviously, I put him in a couple bad situations.”
Foster only got three carries while Jay Ajayi exploded for over 200 yards against the Steelers. We had a story earlier today by ESPN that opined the Dolphins have found their go-to RB, and that certainly seems to be the case after Ajayi's performance. Foster had been out since Week 2.
