The Dolphins’ offense was already without Pro Bowl center Mike Pouncey, arguably its most productive player. Now they’ll try to live life without RB Knowshon Moreno, undoubtedly their most product running back.
Most likely, this won’t be good.
The immediate effect will be two-fold: it’ll shift even more responsibility on the frighteningly inaccurate arm of quarterback Ryan Tannehill, and it’ll test the offensive line because the Dolphins will be in more second- and third-and-long situations, making the pass predictable and making the all-out pass rush almost inevitable.
The story went on to say that the running game is now in the hands of Lamar Miller, but the author considers him a number-two back. He feels Miller is improved but doesn't break tackles and he's not a guy who can carry the ball 15-17 times a game. It certainly doesn't paint a great picture for the Dolphins run game, or for Miller fantasy owners. But the good news is Miller has some favorable rushing matchups straight through Week 8, so it's possible Miller at least has value as a RB3 or flex play.
