Darren Sproles suffers concussion

New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles left Sunday's game against the New York Jets in the first quarter with a concussion.

Sproles, 30, took a big hit on the opening drive and went to the locker room shortly thereafter. His return initially was announced as questionable before he was downgraded to out.

Fantasy Impact:

It was a blow for the Saints, who utilize Sproles heavily in their passing game, despite a very quiet Week 8. He entered Sunday with 484 yards from scrimmage, including 366 on 36 receptions, and two touchdowns. Pierre Thomas got the bulk of the work and will be a much safer play should Sproles have to miss time.
