Darren Sproles questionable with swelling in hand

New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles has enjoyed a good week of practice, according interim Saints coach Joe Vitt. But there remains some swelling in Sproles' broken left hand, so the Saints officially listed Sproles as questionable for Sunday's game at the Oakland Raiders.

"We are trying to get the swelling out," Sproles said, adding he hopes to play. "That's the main thing. But it is going to swell because it is trying to heal."

Sproles said ultimately the team doctors will determine if it is wise to play him against the Raiders.

"Whatever the doctors tell me," Sproles said. "They have the final decision."

Fantasy Impact:

The Saints have a late kickoff on Sunday, so owners should prepare for the worst by picking up Pierre Thomas, Chris Ivory or Mark Ingram as a backup plan. The Raiders are a great matchup for whoever totes the ball for the Saints.
