Colts Beat: WR T.Y. Hilton sees less snaps, but it shouldn't affect targets

Based on the playing time T.Y. Hilton’s been given in the past, Indianapolis altered his share of the workload. Hilton routinely took 70-80 percent of the snaps at the start of the year, but he played just 29 of 56 snaps on Monday night, right around 52 percent.

“We want to get him targeted,” Reich said. “The goal is to have him impact the game with X number of plays, and we just didn’t get that done. … No. 1, they did a good job, and then we just need to do a better job of finding ways to use one of the truly great receivers in this league.”

Fantasy Impact:

We've seen this theory in the beginning of the season with RB Christian McCaffrey - the Panthers wanted to cut back his snaps but not have it result in less touches. The Colts are trying to cut back on the time Hilton is on the field, but continue to get him the ball as much as possible.
