C.J. Spiller does not have a broken collarbone

Bills running back C.J. Spiller will be out next week, coach Chan Gailey said after today's 24-14 win over the Cleveland Browns, but looks to have avoided a more serious injury to his left shoulder.

"I don't believe it's long, long term," Gailey said. "If he misses a week, that's long for me. I think he's going to be out for sure this week, and then we'll see where he goes from there."

Gailey started off his press conference by saying Spiller will have more tests conducted Monday.

"He's out for a week or two, but I don't know how extensive it is," the coach said.

Gailey was asked whether Spiller had suffered a borken collarbone, and responded simply, "No."

Fantasy Impact:

Fred Jackson may be back sooner than later if Spiller can't get healthy. It is good news that the collarbone is not broken. Look for Tashard Choice to fill-in while both Spiller and Jackson are out. He is capable, but won't set the world on fire.
