Chiefs HC Haley praised LJ

Chiefs RB Larry Johnson and Tamba Hali did not participate in Friday's practice. "Nothing was a surprise," said coach Todd Haley, who would not elaborate. "Everything was legit and we’re aware of what’s going on." Johnson's place as the starting RB was taken by Jamaal Charles. Hali's spot at one outside LB position was taken by Andy Studebaker. Speaking of LJ, Haley complimented him today, something he has been reluctant to do with not just Johnson but any player. "He made some runs in the last practice I thought were pretty special," Haley said. "I was very encouraged by a couple of those. Those flashed at me and the coaches to where you say, ‘That was pretty good.’ If Larry continues to work and stay on point and do the things asked of him, he’ll definitely have a chance to help us."
