Four’s a crowd at running back for the Chiefs, but keep in mind the Chiefs aren’t confident Jamaal Charles will be ready to play when the regular season begins on Sept. 11 against the San Diego Chargers.
Charcandrick West also didn’t play the final three games because of an injured elbow, though it appears he will be ready to go against the Chargers. Still, the Chiefs might need Knile Davis against the Chargers, and perhaps beyond.
Davis dropped on the depth chart last year when Charles went down paving the way for Spencer Ware, who should see a bulk of the work of Charles can't go. But Davis could have a role especially with West coming back from an injury. Ware still seems to be the back to own if Charles can't go, however.
