New York Jets tight end Chris Herndon made his 2019 debut on Sunday against the New York Giants, but it will be the only game he will play in this season. On Tuesday, the team made the decision to place their tight end on injured reserve after he fractured a rib during the Jets' 34-27 win over the cross-town rival Giants in Week 10.
This doesn't come as a surprise after yesterday's report that Herndon was going to miss significant time because of a rib injury. It's obviously a disappointing ending to his 2019 season. Griffin takes over at the position and has at least played well as of late.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Colin Kaepernick will hold a private workout in Atlanta. The Saturday session will include on-field work and an interview. All clubs have been invited to attend the workout, and video of the workout and the interview will be made available to all teams.
Kaepernick has been unemployed since March of 2017 and is now 32. Schefter said the NFL arranged the workout and Kaepernick's agents have said he wants to return to the NFL.
Kittle watched from suite tower than sideline because they didn't want him to stand for 3 1/2 hours straight the tweet said. With Emmanuel Sanders also a question mark, the 49ers desperately need at least one of the two back for Week 11 against the Cardinals.
