Chargers RB Ryan Mathews left the game leaving a positive impression, tearing through a giant hole and sprinting 56 yards for a touchdown a half-minute into the second quarter.
"I think Ryan is growing as a player," HC Norv Turner said. "I see it in practice every day. It's great when it shows up. We know he's going to make long runs ... I think he's getting better as a down-to-down consistent runner."
