Chargers RB Mike Tolbert (hand questionable) returned to limited practice Friday. Tolbert missed practice for "precautionary reasons" earlier in the week after bruising the hand last week and expects to play. HC Norv Turner said he is optimistic Tolbert will be a go and play "significant snaps" Sunday. The biggest concern is securing the ball, but Turner indicated Tolbert looked good in that regard Friday.
Ryan Mathews (ankle probable) took full practice reps all week. HC Norv Turner said, "If Tolbert is healthy and going, he's going to get the ball. But Ryan has got to be able to go in too." We expect Mike Tolbert to get the bulk of the carries assuming he is healthy, but Mathews should see enough to keep Tolbert out of elite RB status in a great matchup with the Raiders. It's always possible Tolbert is more banged up than the Chargers are letting on, so owners do face some risk that Tolbert will be limited on gameday.
