Cassel is 'Leaps and Bounds' Ahead of Last Week

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley spoke with reporters this afternoon and of course talked about the topic of the day: injured quarterback Matt Cassel.

Haley hit all his normal notes on the quarterback:

~He's made progress

~The player is doing everything under his power to be ready

~Taking it day-to-day

When asked if he would like a decision by tomorrow (Friday), he said he would.

"I’m not going to pin myself down to that," Haley said. "Hopefully, we have a clearer picture tomorrow with two days away from the game."

Previously, Haley has indicated that his policy on injured players is that they have to practice at least on Friday to have a chance to play. Last week, Cassel participated in all the practices, albeit limited, but appeared to be hampered by the knee. Multiple reports out of One Arrowhead Drive this week have said his knee looks much improved.
