Cards QB Carson Palmer announces retirement

One day after his head coach stepped away from football, Carson Palmer followed suit.

The Arizona Cardinals quarterback announced his retirement on Tuesday after 15 seasons in the National Football League.

Fantasy Impact: 

Palmer said "I just know" in reference as to why he was hanging it up at this point. The Cards are now left without a head coach and a QB. Blaine Gabbert showed some signs during a brief stint but was later benched for Drew Stanton and didn't play. The team does return David Johnson at RB.
