Brandon Marshall’s return couldn’t come at a better team for a beleaguered receiving corps.
Marshall spoke for the first time in a week Thursday and made it clear he felt he could have played last Sunday against Cleveland.
“I lobbied pretty hard,” he said. “But I think it was in the best interest of our team for me not to play. There definitely was some soreness in there and the three or four days extra to rest was a big difference.”
Marshall went on to say he’s now got “peace of mind that the thing is healed” and he should be ready to go.
