Big Ben 'pretty sore' but knee OK after Week 8

Ben Roethlisberger is “pretty sore” following Sunday's game against the Bengals — his first one since suffering a knee injury a month ago that kept him out of four games — but he said that his knee held up fine.

“You know what, I am pretty sore, pretty beat up, I am not going to lie,” Roethlisberger said during his weekly segment on KDKA-FM on Tuesday. “It was a rough one yesterday. I am feeling a little better today. I don't think it is no worse for the wear structurally or anything like that. I think it is just bruises and typical inflammation and pains after a physical football game. I think tomorrow I will start to feel a little better again.”

Fantasy Impact:

During his weekly news conference on Tuesday, Mike Tomlin said that Roethlisberger's injury is now behind him following his performance on Sunday. It wasn't a great performance throwing the ball but things should improve for the offense which wanted to score 30 points a game this year. The loss of LeVeon Bell hurts, but the Steelers have a ton of talent at WR that will make Ben a QB1 start most weeks.
