Bengals WRs John Ross ACTIVE, Tyler Boyd INACTIVE for Thursday Night Football

The Eagles have paid another big-time, rising player. This time, WR DeVonta Smith gets a 3-year, $75M contract extension that includes $51M guaranteed.

Great news for Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense as a whole. Smith will continue his 1b role in which he finished the 2023 season as fantasy's WR22.

Bengals franchise-tagged wide receiver Tee Higgins, who requested to be traded last month, anticipates playing for Cincinnati in 2024, he told reporters Sunday at his youth football camp.

While Higgins, understandably, wants to find a lucrative contract, he will be set for a big payday in 2025 on the open market if he plays out the franchise tag in '24. The Bengals are expected to add another pass-catcher through the NFL Draft, and that could come in the first round.

Free agent TE CJ Uzomah, the former Bengals and Jets starter, is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Eagles. Uzomah, who flew to Philly today and passed his physical, should bolster their passing attack and give the offense an added weapon.

Uzomah dealt with injuries and was boxed out of a TE1 role by Tyler Conklin in New York, so we shouldn't expect him to impact fantasy this season. The veteran had an 80-target season with Cincinnati in 2021, but that has proven to be a blip on the radar.
