Bears RB Forte to miss at least 2-4 weeks

Bears running back Matt Forte went down with a sprained medial collateral ligament that is likely to keep him out for 2-4 weeks, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The paper points out that Forte has no incentive to rush back to a team that hasn't shown a lot of interest this season in giving him the contract extension he desires.

With only four games left in the season, Forte may be done for the season. If so, he'll finish it with 997 yards rushing and three touchdowns along with 52 receptions for 490 yards and another touchdown.

Fantasy Impact:

The story makes a great point about Forte and his contract, there is no point of him rushing back to a team that doesn't seem to want to pay him. While the Bears playoff hopes seem to be fading, fantasy owners may suffer the same fate. With fantasy playoffs starting in the next week or two, it's a good bet Forte will not be available for you. Marion Barber will be next in line to get carries and was already getting goal line work. Kahlil Bell will also get more work. Without a passing threat, neither RB may offer much to your lineup.
