Houston Texans running back Arian Foster has decided to have season-ending surgery for a bulging disk in his back, sources told ESPN.
Foster was expected to meet with the Texans in the next day or two to help determine how soon he should have the surgery.
Arian Foster should head to IR later this week and is droppable in all redraft leagues. With Foster on the shelf, Ben Tate will continue to carry the load with Dennis Johnson, Ray Graham and Deji Karim behind him on the depth chart. Tate is playing with four broken ribs himself and is a free agent at the end of this season.
