Sunday Night DFS Single-Game Breakdown: Rams at Browns

The prime time games thus far this year have been mind-numbing, to say the least. What are the schedule-makers thinking when they schedule the Titans and Jaguars for an island game where the whole nation is watching?

"Running on 2nd and 20 is so sexy. This game is must-watch TV!"

Anyway, I digress. This week the Sunday Night game features the defending NFC Champion Los Angeles Rams visiting everyone's preseason darling, the Cleveland Browns. It should be a great game and we're going to break down every aspect of it for you.

Let's take a look at how we can find the edge that might get us at the top of the leaderboards.

Injuries

The key injury here, of course, is Njoku. While he hadn't seen a lot of balls thrown his way thus far this season, his absence makes the role of Jarvis Landry more prominent over the middle of the field. Demetrius Harris will get the start at TE, but he's a blocking TE with limited receiving skills so temper your expectations. However, the loss of Tyler Higbee for the Rams makes Gerald Everett a very viable value option as he should get the majority of the TE snaps instead of splitting them. Higgins status is worth monitoring—he's expected to play and is a good value, but if he doesn't go, bump up Ratley a notch or two in terms of potential targets.

Evaluation of Vegas Spread and Total

Los Angeles -3.5 Over/Under 47.5

Despite an impressive Week 2 win, the Browns are slight underdogs to the Rams at home this week. Vegas expects moderate scoring in this game, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see this game top 50 points (especially if the Rams can get out in front and the Browns have to speed things up on their end).
