Streaming Tight Ends: Week 16 Targets

Virtual high fives, ladies and gents. We made it to championship week for most leagues, despite the train wreck at tight end this season.

For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. As the season continues to progress and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data. Targets and efficiency metrics are also considered when choosing weekly streamers.

Week 15 was not kind to the stream, as my top producers, O.J. Howard and Noah Fant came in at TE16 and TE20, respectively. Our goal in all this is starting tight end results and after 15 weeks, 4for4’s optimal streamer has scored 213.5 PPR points, which equates to TE2 numbers on the season.

In order to provide advice you can actually implement, candidates for streaming must be owned in no more than 40% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues.

Top Streaming Picks

O.J. Howard (Buccaneers) vs. Texans

Full disclosure, I still don’t fully trust Howard, but he’s in a pretty decent spot this week to stream. Jameis Winston may be without Chris Godwin and Scott Miller which helps, plus he gets a Texans defense ranked 30th in aFPA to the tight end position. He’s only found the end zone once this season in Week 10, so he’s certainly due.

Howard is free in 59% of Yahoo! leagues. Cameron Brate could also be in play at just 5% rostership.

Noah Fant (Broncos) vs. Lions
