IDP Matchups & Sleepers: Week 10

Each week, I'm going to go through our IDP rankings and look at some of the top matchups and sleeper picks for the week at each position. My IDP brother-in-arms, Ross Miles, will have your IDP waiver wire covered. If you have specific questions pertaining to your lineup, you can always refer to the ranks or hit me up on Twitter @Mike_Woellert.

Now, let's see what Week 10 has in store for us.

Linebacker

Jerome Baker, ILB, Miami Dolphins vs. Indianapolis Colts

Baker has a solid matchup against the Colts this week. He's coming off a seven tackle game last week and has recorded 16 total over the last two weeks. The Colts have been a favorable matchup for opposing linebackers. Baker should be busy in coverage on the tight ends and tracking down Marlon Mack. The Colts offense is yielding 13 tackles per game to opposing ILBs and allowing the sixth-most points to the position. Baker is shaping up to be a strong LB2.

Nick Vigil, ILB, Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens

I'm dialing up Vigil against the Ravens again this week. In their first go-around, Vigil finished as the LB2 overall. He dominated the Ravens for 13 tackles (10 solos) and recovered a fumble. On the season, he's producing a 12.8% tackle rate - resulting in 65 tackles. The Ravens are allowing the seventh-most points to the LB position, while also allowing 15 tackles per game to ILBs.

Thomas Davis, ILB, Los Angles Chargers vs. Oakland Raiders

Davis appeared in 100% of the snaps last week, and the Chargers are hurting at the LB position. Denzel Perryman is hurt, so the defense is going to rely on Davis even more on Thursday night. He's coming off an underwhelming four tackle game against GB, but they've been stingy against the LB position. The Raiders are allowing the 10th most points to LBs, while also allowing 26 tackles per game. He should be busy with Josh Jacobs and covering Darren Waller.

Tremaine Edmunds, ILB, Buffalo Bills vs. Cleveland Browns

Edmunds has stacked some decent games together since the bye week. He's recorded 26 tackles in that span and faces a Cleveland team that should be determined the run the ball - especially with Kareem Hunt back. I'm expecting to see a lot of Nick Chubb and Hunt this week, which means a plethora of tackle opportunities for Edmunds. Edmunds is recording an 11.7% tackle rate and has a chance to increase that rate against a Browns offense allowing 19 tackles per game to the LB position.

Sleeper

Brandon Copeland, ILB, New York Jets vs. New York Giants

With all of the injuries at LB for the Jets, Copeland came in and appeared in 100% of the snaps in Week 9. He made an impact, recording nine tackles and a sack over his 69 defensive snaps. The majority of his snaps came from ILB opposite James Burgess. I like the matchup this week for Copeland against a Giants team allowing the most points to the LB position.
