Primetime DFS Slate Breakdown: Week 2

Our second Primetime slate of the season brings us two low total games with both of them coming in under 43.5 points. Both home teams are the favorites, but only by thee points which should allow us to leverage some low-owned plays from both games and from all four teams.

It is usually hard to rosters players on a team with an implied team total under 20 points, however, on a two-game primetime slate, this is usually where we can leverage the field. Eli Manning ($7,300 FD/$6,100 DK) isn’t sexy, but on a two-game slate vs a defense that ranks 15th in schedule-adjusted fantasy points (aFPA) vs the quarterback, you might get him at a low ownership. The popular stack is to pair him up with Odell Beckham ($8,700 FD/$9,400 DK) who was peppered with 15 targets last week even in a tough matchup with Ramsey. Beckham draws Chidobe Awuzie who allowed a passer rating of 129.2 when targeted in 2017. Fading Beckham and using his counterpart Sterling Shepard ($6,400 FD/$5,200 DK) makes for an attractive tournament option. Beckham will come in highly owned and if he puts up a mediocre stat line, you will have massive leverage on the field. Shepard is my favorite of the two as he draws Anthony Brown who allowed 1.9 PPR points per target in 2017. Evan Engram ($6,500 FD/$5,100 DK) has a tough matchup as the Cowboys rank sixth in aFPA vs the tight end, and with Trey Burton projecting to be the chalk at tight end, an Eli/Shepard/Engram stack could go very undrowned.
