It’s Week 17 and these are my FanDuel cash game and tournament strategies. By offering a general approach to the week, along with a player pool to consider, you should walk away feeling well-equipped no matter your bankroll strategy or game selection process.
Week 17 is a different beast. Keeping up with news and information is arguably more important than matchups and Vegas lines. Because of the unpredictability of playing time this week, it’s not a bad idea to dial back DFS volume, especially in cash games. Before setting any lineups, be sure to track which teams are motivated this week.
Main Slate Cash Game Strategy
Quarterback
Kansas City needs a win to secure the top seed in the AFC, so they will be doing everything in their power to meet and exceed their 33.5-point projected total. Patrick Mahomes ($8,500) is priced $800 more than the QB2, but there is enough value at other positions to jam in the star quarterback. Oakland’s defense hasn’t been the sieve they were earlier in the year but they still rank in the bottom 10 in fantasy points per pass attempt allowed over the last six weeks.
