Streaming Defenses: Week 16 Targets
Last week, the Atlanta defense finished with 20 fantasy points and were the DEF1 in most scoring formats. Through 15 weeks, our streaming targets are averaging 9.4 fantasy points per game.
Generally, defenses have to be available on the waiver wire in at least 40 percent of Yahoo fantasy leagues to be eligible as a streaming option. This ensures we are talking about defenses that are readily available. Week 16 means Championship Week, and hopefully, you're playing for the title. If you've been streaming all season, why fix what's not broken—here's who we're targeting in Week 16.
Top Streaming Picks
Although Myles Garrett didn't register a sack, he was his usual disruptive self in Week 15. Larry Ogunjobi continues to get pressure up the middle. Both are threats to produce multiple sacks.
Genard Avery has been generating more pressure off the edge, as has Jamie Collins. Collins is coming off a big Week 15 performance with six solo tackles and a sack. Joe Schobert is the captain of the defense and is capable of making plays at middle linebacker. He's been responsible for a sack, an INT and two fumble recoveries.
Jabrill Peppers is coming off his best game as a Brown in Week 15, as he was responsible for the game-sealing sack and generated an INT. The secondary will get a boost if Denzel Ward returns from his concussion. Free safety, Damarious Randall, is also capable of producing turnovers, as he's leading the team in INTs.
The Bengals have been in a freefall, coincidentally, since Hue Jackson came to town. The Browns are early seven-point home favorites and are among the top defenses in turnover ratio. This defense is capable of producing fantasy points in a hurry with sacks and turnovers.
