Week 1 Essential Practice News & Notes

Redskins QB Colt McCoy (right thumb) took full practice reps all week.

Dolphins QB Brock Osweiler (knee) took full practice reps Friday.

Rams RB Justin Davis (hamstring) took limited practice reps Thursday.

Dolphins RB Frank Gore (achilles, not injury related) returned to take full practice reps Friday after missing practice Thursday. Gore should be able to play through he Achilles injury.

Cardinals RB T.J. Logan (ankle, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 1.

Raiders RB Marshawn Lynch (groin) took limited practice reps again Friday. Lynch should be able to play on Monday night, but this is a situation to monitor over the weekend.

Colts RB Marlon Mack (hamstring, questionable) took limited practice reps again Friday and is questionable for Week 1. He’s still unlikely to play in Week 1, but his chances of suiting up just increased dramatically. He wouldn’t be a recommended play if he’s able to suit up since he’s been out a while. If he can’t play, Jordan Wilkins would likely lead the backfield in touches. The Colts play early on Sunday.

Patriots RB Sony Michel (knee, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 1. Michel may be able to play in Week 1, but he’s likely to take a backseat to Rex Burkhead, James White and perhaps Jeremy Hill as well. The questionable tag doesn’t help.

Seahawks RB Rashaad Penny (hand) took full practice reps again Thursday. It looks like Penny is good to go. He’ll likely play second-fiddle to starter Chris Carson.

Vikings RB Roc Thomas (ankle, out) returned to take limited reps Friday after missing practice earlier in the week and is out for Week 1.

Raiders RB DeAndre Washington (knee) missed practice again Friday.

Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (knee) took full practice reps again Thursday. Baldwin looks like he’s good to go for Sunday.

Texans WR Sammie Coates (hamstring, questionable) took limited practice reps again Friday and is questionable for Week 1.

Vikings WR Stacy Coley (groin) took full practice reps all week.

Bengals WR Cody Core (back, doubtful) took limited practice reps again Friday and is doubtful for Week 1.

Texans WR Keke Coutee (hamstring, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 1.

Redskins WR Jamison Crowder (not injury related) missed practice Friday. This is worth noting, but Crowder was probably just getting a day off.

Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (thumb) took full practice reps again Friday. With Jermaine Kearse likely out, Enunwa has serious sleeper status against the Lions.

Texans WR Will Fuller (hamstring, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 1. Fuller should be able to play Week 1, though Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reported that he may be a game-time call. The Texans play early on Sunday.

Browns WR Josh Gordon (hamstring) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week. Gordon was removed from the injury report, so he’ll be fine to face the Steelers. He will reportedly not start and will be on a snap count, per head coach Hue Jackson. He has missed much of camp, so one wonders if he and QB Tyrod Taylor are on the same page.

Dolphins WR Jakeem Grant (shoulder) took full practice reps all week.

Redskins WR Maurice Harris (concussion, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 1.

Jets WR Jermaine Kearse (abdomen) returned to take limited reps Friday after missing practice Thursday. Kearse is likely to sit Week 1, so Robby Anderson and Quincy Enunwa are more attractive plays against the Lions.

Chiefs WR Marcus Kemp (ankle) took full practice reps all week.

Bills WR Ray-Ray McCloud (knee, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 1.

Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (finger, doubtful) returned to take limited reps Friday after missing practice earlier in the week and is doubtful for Week 1. With Parker likely out, Kenny Stills looks like a solid start while Danny Amendola and Albert Wilson figure to pick up the rest of the slack.

Colts WR Zach Pascal (calf) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week.

Broncos WR Tim Patrick (calf) took full practice reps all week.

Jets WR Terrelle Pryor (ankle) took full practice reps again Friday.

Panthers WR Curtis Samuel (medical illness, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 1.

Chargers WR Tyrell Williams (groin) took full practice reps Friday. Williams is good to go in a nice matchup against a burnable Chiefs secondary.

Bears TE Daniel Brown (shoulder, doubtful) took limited practice reps all week and is doubtful for Week 1.

Browns TE Seth DeValve (quadricep) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week.

Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back) took full practice reps all week. Eifert is a top ten option as long as he’s healthy and active. In 22 games over the last three years with Andy Dalton, Eifert has averaged 3.7 catches for 46 yards and 0.77 touchdowns per game. If he were able to keep up that pace for a full 16-game season, he'd be a top three tight end.

Dolphins TE MarQueis Gray (foot) was removed from the injury report Friday.

Cardinals TE Jermaine Gresham (achilles, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 1. Gresham may be able to play, but Ricky Seals-Jones is expected to get the bulk of the snaps at tight end.

Patriots TE Jacob Hollister (hamstring, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 1.

Ravens TE Hayden Hurst (foot, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 1.

Panthers TE Chris Manhertz (foot, questionable) took limited practice reps all week and is questionable for Week 1.

Steelers TE Vance McDonald (foot, out) missed practice again Friday and is out for Week 1. With McDonald out, the tight end duties will fall to Jesse James and Xavier Grimble.

Bengals TE Mason Schreck (toe) took full practice reps all week.

Jaguars TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins (core muscle) took full practice reps on Friday after being limited earlier in the week. ASJ is good to go for a great matchup with the Giants.

Texans K Ka'imi Fairbairn (right thigh) took full practice reps all week.
