FanDuel Week 10 Slate Breakdown with Cash and GPP Picks

Below I give my overall FanDuel cash game and tournament strategy thoughts and discuss how players fit into these strategies. By offering a general approach to the week, along with a player pool to consider, you should walk away feeling well-equipped no matter your bankroll strategy or game selection process.

Main Slate Cash Game Strategy

The top three overall values of the week are running backs priced at $7,200 or above. Using values to lock in two expensive running backs looks to be the highest floor play with the major decision point being whether to pay up for Antonio Brown or Rob Gronkowski, who are both in fantastic spots.

Quarterback

Ryan Fitzpatrick ($6,100) is the top projected value of the week at his position. The Buccaneers face a Jets defense ranked 31st in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed (aFPA) to quarterbacks, surrendering the most passing touchdowns of any defense this year. New York ranks 10th in running back aFPA, meaning they are a pass funnel and Tampa Bay already has the highest neutral pass rate in the league. The Jets have also given up the second-most rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks and Fitzpatrick is a sneaky mobile passer. The quarterback with the best odds to hit cash game value this week is Matthew Stafford ($8,200). Detroit is favored by 11.5 points at home with an implied point total of 27.5, the second-highest of the week. The Lions face a Browns defense ranked last in quarterback aFPA and Cleveland is one of five teams that has allowed a passing touchdown rate above 6%. Only four teams thrown more in neutral situations or in the red zone than the Lions and Cleveland has allowed the highest passing touchdown rate in the red zone this year. Jared Goff ($8,200) is coming off of a huge game in a great matchup and has a similarly favorable matchup this week. Only one team has allowed a higher touchdown rate to opposing quarterbacks than the Texans, who rank 27th in quarterback aFPA. As the top defense against running backs, Houston is another passing funnel and no team is projected to score more than the Rams this week.
