DraftKings Week 9 Cash Game Breakdown

Welcome to Week 9! I know you’re probably looking for your usual words of wisdom from Mr. TJ Hernandez, but you’re stuck with me this week (sorry to disappoint). Not to worry … TJ will be back next week. But in the meantime, I’ll see if I can do my best TJ Hernandez impression and find some DraftKings cash game gems for this week.

In addition to the picks below, you can follow this set of DraftKings cash game guidelines, which serves as a friendly reminder for what you should be looking for when building your cash game lineups. As always, be sure to take a look at the “Other Players I’d Consider” section, as you should never be blindly placing a single lineup into any contest.

QB Aaron Rodgers $7,800 vs IND

While I don’t usually like to roster the most expensive quarterback, this week is a bit of a dumpster fire at the position and Rodgers finds himself in a nice spot. After a sluggish start to the season, Rodgers has shown flashes over the last three weeks and now gets the added benefit of playing a Colts defense that ranks 29th in aFPA to the quarterback position. Due to the complete lack of a rushing attack (and healthy running backs), the Packers have asked Rodgers top 40 pass attempts in each of the last two games. He’ll likely be slinging the ball around again this week and should have no trouble hitting value in the game that Vegas thinks will have the highest point total. There are a couple other interesting (and cheap) options I’ll share below, but I think Rodgers makes me feel safest for cash games this week.
